It should not be easier to buy an AR-15 than it is to vote.
@davidhogg111 A 2nd Amd. pertains to a 'well regulated Militia' & a civ. right to 'keep & bear' arms. 'Regulated' implies State oversight to achieve a well equip. & trained Militia in defence of the State In that context 'keep & bear' provides for the issuance of a wpn not exclusive ownership.
@davidhogg111 @mattmezz Republicans would issue all 18 year olds AR-15s automatically before they'd see all 18 year olds automatically registered to vote. Think about that.
@davidhogg111 People who are against tougher gun laws say that won’t stop mass shootings. What will?
@davidhogg111 You can keep saying "it's easier to buy a gun than it is to vote" but last time I checked we don't mail guns to people! #2A #JoinNRA
@davidhogg111 When almost 1/2 of the government looks like this, it’s hard to get anything done. 💔
@davidhogg111 When buying homeowners or liability insurance, the application asks about trampolines, pools and dogs. It does not ask about guns in the home, whether they're secured, or whether the owners are trained in firearm safety. This makes no sense.
@davidhogg111 It’s easier to buy an AR-15 than it is to adopt a dog. Had to complete 10 pg application that included a background check, wait to have it processed, participate in phone interview, then in person and visit to my home interview.
@davidhogg111 In Arizona and true story: colleague went into a Burrito bar ordered and was told it was a 10 min wait. Next store was a gun shop so to kill(nice pun eh) time he went in to browse. Saw a gun, purchased it and was back in time to get his burrito right off the grill. 🤨
@davidhogg111 Amen 🙏 in Britain 🇬🇧 not even cops 👮♂️ carry guns. When was the last mass shooting there?
