The world faces a global alignment of dictators, thugs, and aggressors, from Tehran to Moscow to Beijing to Palm Beach. My latest in @TheAtlantic theatlantic.com/politics/archi…
@davidfrum @TheAtlantic Exactly what I woke up this morning thinking. The new energies coming to the planet will not support these THUGS and they know it! You can be sure that FEAR is their dominant emotion! Looking forward to reading your article 🙏
@davidfrum @TheAtlantic Is this the new Axis of Evil?
@davidfrum @TheAtlantic Very well written and argued but ommitting any mention of Netanyahu and the atrocity in Gaza is as much an act of cowardice towards authoritarians, dictators, and thugs as the GOP bowing to Trump. The Bush era hypocrisy on the world stage continues to be a national embarrassment.
@davidfrum @dwelch816 @TheAtlantic On social media, on cable news, in speeches to security conferences, Republicans are pretending that they still live in the bygone world in which they were the party of Ronald Reagan, George Bush, and John McCain.
@davidfrum @TheAtlantic RU, SA. China, Bibi, and Hungary to name a few all want the USA to become a fascist country. As you say Trump aligns with them. Also, many billionaire oligarchs in the USA and around the world are willing to support this. Why? Greed. Perceived expansion.
@davidfrum @RadioFreeTom @TheAtlantic The best I have read about the current reality. I was hoping for a more arrow to the heart ending, as I think Trump is 100% responsible for this (his minion MTG helped deliver the RIP msg to the speaker-who likely heard it in-person Friday). So what can Biden do. PS xo to Ringo
@davidfrum @RadioFreeTom @TheAtlantic Funny, about your deck/subtitle. The one capital city that 70% of readers were expecting to see for the "aggressors" part, is missing.
@davidfrum @TheAtlantic The “elites” just can’t stand that Globalization is dying on the vine 🙏
@davidfrum @_metafizik @TheAtlantic And Tel Aviv? And Washington D.C. for that matter? Two cruel, lawless regimes?
@davidfrum @RadioFreeTom @TheAtlantic I wonder who they have in common.
