رسول اللہ صلی الله علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: “ روزانہ پانچ وقت کی نماز اور ایک جمعہ سے دوسرا جمعہ بیچ کے گناہوں کا کفارہ ہیں، جب تک کہ کبیرہ گناہ سرزد نہ ہوں“۔ (جامع ترمذی،۲۱۴)

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”بخیل وہ ہے جس کے سامنے میرا ذکر کیا جائے اور پھر بھی وہ مجھ پر صلاۃ ( درود ) نہ بھیجے“۔ (جامع ترمذی،۳۵۴۶)

حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ یوں فرمایا کرتے: ’’ اے اللہ ! میں نکمے پن ‘ بے جا سستی ‘ شدید بڑھاپے ‘ کنجوسی اور بزدلی سے تیری پناہ میں آتا ہوں ‘ نیز قبر کے عذاب اور زندگی اور موت کے فتنے سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں ۔‘‘ (سنن نسائی،۵۴۵۴)
رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: اگر لوگ جان لیں جو ثواب نماز کے لیے جلدی آنے میں ہے تو ایک دوسرے سے آگے بڑھیں اور اگر عشاء اور صبح کی نماز کے ثواب کو جان لیں تو اس کے لیے ضرور آئیں خواہ سرین کے بل آنا پڑے اور اگر پہلی صف کے ثواب کو جان لیں تو اس کے لیے قرعہ اندازی کریں۔ (بخاری،۷۲۱)
