🚨 Neither Paxlovid nor vaccines prevented #LongCovid in @UCSF CHAIR OF DEPT OF MEDICINE’s wife! The very best care possible did not prevent this poor outcome. The ONLY thing that would have is avoiding infection by wearing N95 or better & good indoor air quality.

The more I learn abt this virus, the more my commitment to avoiding it is reinforced. The widespread damage it can do is chilling, in even “mild” or asymptomatic cases. Doing nothing to stop it is criminal. Time will show that those of us sounding the alarm were right.
Reading his thread is soul-crushing. He- THE CHAIR OF @UCSF MED- is “hoping“ that the terrifying (copious!) studies demonstrating the long-term affects on brain and other organs are somehow “flawed.” Oh my fucking God. HOPE IS NOT YOUR FRIEND HERE, Bob! Reality IS.
@danaparish @MamaToronto You know what's frustrating about time validating we were right? Always being 6 months - 1 year ahead of the pack. Myself and family constantly feel like the doomsayers/outliers, even though we've been proven correct every time (I think at least 6 times now).
@danaparish THANK YOU for all you're doing!!! Hope you know you are appreciated!!!
