while a slash line of .198/.233/.302 and a terrible .233 wOBA in 103 PAs isn't what Mark Vientos hoped 700+ PAs in AAA would produce in the majors, his above average HardHit% suggests there's some light at the end of the tunnel this season
Vientos' season atm is panning out like MJ Melendez's first 100+ PAs...granted Vientos' have been more sporatic They're two hitters who haven't offered many glimpses of their power bat in its prime form in the majors yet (current season numbers for Melendez in parenthesis)
In AAA this yr, Vientos had a 10.6% walk rate and 21.6% K rate, so I don't think it's crazy to say if he worked on his plate discipline over these next two months and focused on taking quality swings on pitches he can do damage he'll finish this season strong
