Spare me the hot takes that a state Supreme Court finding Trump to be an insurrectionist and disqualifying him from the ballot for one of the most horrific days in American history that we all watched with our own eyes is a good thing for Trump’s election, but President Biden putting us on good economic footing with a record breaking stock market and low unemployment and 40,000 infrastructure projects across the country is a bad thing for Biden.
@meiselasb Proud to be a Colorado lawyer where we tell the truth. TFG led an insurrection.
@meiselasb (“Section Three imposes a qualification for public office, much like an age or residency requirement . .”). We perceive no logical distinction between a disqualification from office and a qualification to assume office, at least for the purposes of the section 1-1-113 claim here.
@meiselasb This is huge. Anderson v Griswold brings issues to a boil that US Supreme Court can't ignore. Let's decide this issue once and for all. No criminal insurrectionists on our ballots please.
@meiselasb It comes down to this folks: "The Presidency Is an Office Under the United States
@meiselasb Now we need US Supreme Court to agree. Logic impeccable. coloradosun.com/2023/12/23/col…
@craigscolorado @kelly2277 @meiselasb Even the dissenting members of the Colorado Supreme Court's decision unanimously agreed that Donald Trump invited and participated in an unlawful insurrection.
@craigscolorado @meiselasb You should be the kind of Colorado lawyer who understands the difference between a person who has been convicted of leading an insurrection and a person who has not been convicted of leading an insurrection. That would be something you could be proud of.
@craigscolorado @meiselasb Thanks, Craig, for weighing in on this important case. P.S. >> We miss you on the radio!!!
@craigscolorado @meiselasb Then let's see the Conviction!
