The US Senate has passed the bill that will ban TikTok unless its owner, ByteDance, agrees to sell the platform
@Dexerto My data was leaked by Facebook. Where’s the ban? AT&T announced millions of users data breached? Where’s the ban?
@crabtree_cody @Dexerto Not just about data leaks. It's about data leaks to the Chinese Government, who we could potentially have conflict with in the next few years. Not to mention 18 countries currently have a full or partial bans on TikTok. It's not the company you can't trust, it's their government.
@crabtree_cody @Dexerto the difference is they are american, this is chinese
@crabtree_cody @Dexerto We should just vote all of these people out.
@crabtree_cody @Dexerto The questions, We The People, ask. TikTok probably didn't fluff the Gov. pockets enough so they lashing out, like old people do.
@crabtree_cody @Dexerto TikTok is a threat to the current administration as they can’t control the flow of information on there, like they can with Google and Meta-owned platforms. That’s the difference. X will be next without a doubt.
@crabtree_cody @Dexerto The U.S. doesn’t care about them stealing your data
@crabtree_cody @Dexerto THIS plus AT&T actively tried to hide the fact they where hacked
