Quite the chutzpah for Turkey to open this kettle of fish. If Turkey is now committed to "decolonization," does that mean they will give back the lands taken from the many ethnic and religious minorities who have been victims of Ottoman & Turkish imperialism? Will the Armenians have their ancient lands restored to them, or receive reparations for the genocide inflicted on them in 1915? The Kurds given the right of self-determination? The ancient Greek regions returned? Will the 1974 Turkish invasion and occupation of Northern Cyprus be reversed? Will the descendants of Jewish families who fled Kemalist policies of forced assimilation be given compensation? Will the Hagia Sophia be returned the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate, from whom it was stolen? Will there be a truth & reconciliation project recognizing the millions of slaves taken & trafficked by the Ottoman Empire, particularly the countless boys kidnapped from Balkan Christian families for forced military service? Will compensation be given to Christians for the hundred of Churches and monasteries destroyed? The possibilities for Turkish decolonization are endless.

One of the most impressive things happening in El Salvador right now is that they are literally renovating or building two new schools EVERY SINGLE DAY. Bukele launched this last year, and the results are astonishing. They've done 624 schools so far, and there's a site to monitor progress for each school. Many of the workers are non-violent criminals who once terrorized the same communities. Now they work to repay their debt & earn some time off their sentence.

It is very funny that the NDP uses equity cards to ensure that white men are essentially never allowed to speak in the process of electing a rich old white dude who has never worked a day in his life.

I’ll be generous by assuming this line came from a speechwriter, and that the Premier didn’t know that it’s verbatim Iranian regime propaganda, widely used as an antisemitic dog whistle. But he degrades himself and his office by turning the murderous nature and genocidal intent of the Islamic Republic into a cheap political punchline. Does he think the regime’s advanced efforts to build nuclear weapons and use them to “turn the little Satan (Israel) into a ball of fire” is a joke? Does he understand the regime is detested by the overwhelming majority of the Iranian people, who desperately hope that this military campaign will accelerate the end of the Mullahs’ reign of terror? Does he have zero understanding of the decades of violence and terror spread by the regime’s proxies across the world, from the hundreds of thousands murdered by the Iranian backed Assad regime, to the decades violent Jew hatred of Hamas & Hizbollah? Does he think it is a mere distraction to stop Iran from building 100 ballistic missiles every month, some with a range that can strike Europe? I’ve had high regard for Premier Kinew, despite our political differences. I hope this was just a monetary lapse in judgement. But I fear it reflects the Canadian left’s brain dead embrace of even the worst regimes if they are opposed by Israel and the United States.

She told her parents they would have a dead daughter if they didn’t go along with it. Johanna Olson-Kennedy then put Clementine on testosterone at 13, and sent her for a double mastectomy at 14. She never even bothered to ask Clementine about her history. In 5 minutes, I learned more than this doctor who sent her on a path of sterility and irreversible harm. What Stewart is telling you is that when people are exposed to a wider range of information and viewpoints than legacy media curated for them, they move to the right. Not because they were tricked. Not because they were radicalized. But because the information itself — presented without the filter of editors at the New York Times and producers at MSNBC deciding what you're allowed to see — leads people to draw different conclusions than the ones the left wants them to draw.
