After a thorough investigation, we determined the hackathon wallet drain was caused by a compromise during an investor call that included a screen share. Based on our findings, the attacker saw our Gmail username on an open tab, requested a Pump fun Privy login code, and gained access after the Gmail tab was opened. From there, the wallet inside Axiom was drained. One signal that helped confirm unauthorized access was that we do not use Windows machines internally, yet one of the login requests came from Chrome on Windows. We also want to correct our earlier statement: our initial accusation toward Axiom was wrong. We spoke before we had the full picture, and this incident was the result of our own operational mistake, not an issue with Axiom. For clarity: the team still holds more than 10% of supply, and no team member sold team or any tokens during this incident or at any time. At this time, we have confirmed that Connect Pool, Connect fun more broadly, the Connect deployer, locked tokens, or our other hackathon wallets were NOT affected, everything is safe and operational. We are tightening our internal security procedures around screen sharing, email exposure, and wallet access. We take full responsibility, and we are continuing to build in public.
