Ticket purchased, flight and hotel booked, rental car set. I went to the Final Four in NOLA in 1993, so this is my second. But the first with my family’s beloved Tide. RTR!!
As great as March Madness is, seeing these players know their careers in competitive basketball are over is sad. I played in HS and I can feel the pain of that career-ending loss 48 years later just like it was yesterday. There are few experiences like being on a sports team.
That last defensive sequence was magnificent. If we'd played D like that the last month, we’d be a 3 seed.
Serious query-is that the biggest upset any in-state team has ever suffered in first round? In 1989, Bama vs. South was a 6-11 matchup. I think Bama also once lost in first round as a 7, and our loss to ND in 2022 was a 6 losing to an 11.
‘Bama, Vols, Auburn are 5-6-7 at NET today. This race is going the distance folks, and if any of those 3 win both season and tournament championships, they’re getting a 1 seed. And I haven’t even mentioned USCe.

There's no phrase I hate more on social media than the accusation of "virtue signaling." All of social media is predicated on the idea of virtue signaling. Hell, if you accuse someone of "virtue signaling," you're, in fact, probably guilty of "virtue signaling."
@MrsEmilyFinch I’d hasten to add that we never set out to hurt or offend anyone. We have only tried to be faithful to the truth as we saw it.
In most places @MrsEmilyFinch and I would probably be considered very traditional & conservative. But a little bit of independent thinking on politics & religion has caused us some very deep hurt here w family & friends. Is it worth it to be true to ourselves? Yes. 100% yes.

Just, for the record, this is an extraordinarily bad answer for someone who does and wishes to continue to hold an office under the Constitution of the United States. It impossible to overstate how shameful this is.

There's no doubt an argument that Ted Williams is the greatest hitter of all-time, but he wasn't the complete player some of the other guys were. Aaron & Mays were true 5-tool players, and Ruth was one of the greatest pitchers ever before becoming the most dominant hitter ever.
