The decision by the @SCHSL to have the Upper State and Lower State Championships and then the State Championships a week later in Florence is one of the worst decisions I have ever seen. Hope our our legislators take notice! Feel sorry for these Upstate kid
@coachthryan @SCHSL Absolutely ridiculous Coach.
@coachthryan @SCHSL I wonder if when Furman's Timmon's Arena finishes getting renovated if it would be a place for upper state games.
@coachthryan This take makes me think my questioning this decision yesterday wasn’t whining. 👍🏻
@coachthryan @SCHSL What you are forgetting is that not everyone is within one hour of Greenville or Florence. Schools travel every single year. The only reason there is such an outcry right now is because the Greenville area schools are finally having to experience what other schools experience.
@coachthryan @SCHSL I have wondered for a number of years why the high school AD’s and Superintendents continue to allow the SCHSL to operate the way they do. I’m guessing good old boy system with it as well like the rest of state politics
@coachthryan @SCHSL Follow the money! And, to be fair, it might be interesting to take a deep dive into how various venues have interacted with the SCHSL regarding hosting these games. Are these venues interested in hosting or has the cost vs benefit made it untenable for them?
@coachthryan @SCHSL This is an org that has no accountability and rarely does what’s best for athletes
@coachthryan @SCHSL Say it louder for folks in the back!
