Maybe my real coaching destiny is to spread the joys of splitback veer and flexbone to different programs. The Lord provided an opportunity to learn both and now I’m supposed to go out and spread the word.

I’m always happy for my peers that get their HC shots, but I’m always wondering if I’m doing something wrong. Is it my interview? My resume? Or am I chasing the wrong jobs? Might be time to branch out more.

Been saying this since 1995: If you are going to win in the playoffs you must be able to run the ball between the tackles when you want to and defensively you must stop runs between the tackles. All the 7 on 7 Crap is useless in my humble opinion.

Coaching has taught me a valuable lesson: some people will be negative about you no matter what. They’re always angry. Row your own boat and don’t worry about trying to impress/please everyone. If you leave it better than you found it, then you’ve accomplished something great.

Why do people act like there aren't modern offenses that put up garbage numbers ever year too? Do you know how many 1-2 win 7.3 ppg spread offenses I've seen? How is dropping back to get sacked 20 times a game and going 5-35 passing helping develop college players?

Flexbone teams should incorporate some run n shoot concepts similar to how Paul Johnson did. Throw in some some Rip 61 X Choice to spice things up

A lot of guys don’t like running triple vs a stack. Triple might be my favorite play vs a 3-3 look! Play the stack mike backer like he’s the 1st down defender block him with the PSG and Read the second down lineman as the dive key.

@CoachTM9 Corner route is not hard to teach consistently. 25!yard line and in the aiming point is always the back pylon. 26 and longer the aiming point is always the front pylon.
