Civic Pass is now integrated with @solana Token Extensions. This means that token issuers can program identity requirements in the minting process, using transfer hooks to limit who can send, receive and own their tokens. New possibilities are now open to builders! RWAs. Issuers can ensure that only investors from approved countries can hold tokens. And, identity information requirements, like having a pass that corresponds to a verified government-issued ID, can travel with the token, so issuers can ensure only approved individuals can hold their tokens. Unconditional Basic Income (UBI) tokens. Issuers of these social change tokens can protect their programs with Sybil resistance, since it’s now possible to enforce a “one person, one wallet” restriction on token transfers, so an individual can’t collect multiple UBI allocations. Live events. Airdrops, mints and DAO token issuances can be simplified by baking in the identity requirements in the token issuance itself, like requiring CAPTCHA, liveness or uniqueness checks to be able to claim tokens. Protecting against bots becomes simplified and automated without too much additional overhead. The best part? This is just the beginning! Let us know what you’re building with @solana Token Extensions. We’d love to collaborate. Check it out in our docs here: docs.civic.com/third-party-in…
