@chesspublishing evening, looking at David Anton Guijarro's recent Torre adventures. Here he played the logical 13 Ne5, but can you see why the calm 13 Kb1! is preferred by the engines? Yes, it allows 13...f4, but after 14 Bh4 Bxh4 White can regain the piece with 15 g4!. #chess
GM John Emms points out that the frequently played 11...cxd4 may actually be an inaccuracy here, as it allows White's dark-squared bishop a great diagonal after the future sequence Bb2+d5! Better would be 11...0-0! which takes the strong out of Bb2. chesspublishing.com/nimzo-benoni/2…
