Reports have claimed that a cheat provider for games, including Call of Duty, was compromised with users who purchased the cheats having their personal information stolen. The cheat reportedly had malware that stole information. Sources confirm Activision Blizzard servers were not compromised. If you bought a cheat and had your information compromised, it was not something that happened with your COD account - it was the cheat that was downloaded. In a statement to CharlieIntel, Activision Blizzard spokesperson says: "There have been claims that some player credentials across the broader industry could be compromised from malware from downloading or using unauthorized software. Activision Blizzard servers remain secure and uncompromised. Our priority is always player account security. If players believe they may have clicked on a suspicious link or if they want to ensure their account is protected, they can change their password and follow recommended best practices here such as adding two factor authentication."
