I am determined to ban assault weapons in this country. I did it once before, and we will do it again.

I’m a gun owner. Do not tell me our Founders conceived of this carnage when they wrote the Constitution. Do not tell me they would have tolerated this madness. Do not tell me that teachers must be armed. And do not tell me your AR15 is worth more than another 14 children’s lives.

@RepDeanPhillips I own two guns (hunting rifles). I would gladly give them up in a heartbeat if guns were outlawed. And if we made a concerted effort to remove guns from private citizens' hands. All of them. Anyone holding back risks being locked away for a long time. That's the only way.

Trump is holding these press conferences because he can’t hold rallies. Public health is not the point. He needs praise like he needs oxygen. His sycophants talk more than experts. Nothing about tests. It’s all about what Trump wants to hear, not what we need to know.

UPDATE: We are sending 1 million N95 masks to New York City. 500,000 N95 masks will go to Long Island. We are purchasing 6,000 additional ventilators and gathering supplies from every source we can get.
