@ParkerJFinn The pop star angle kept it fresh, and in the process it made for one of the best movies I’ve seen on the horror of fame. And I haven’t been able to stop listening to the soundtrack. I hope I live to see the Smiler become one of the great horror movie villains :)

@ParkerJFinn The premise of Smile is so simple but so good I could watch another 10 just like it. When I heard there was a sequel, I hoped it would live up to the original (which is one of my top horror films of all time) and it did not disappoint!

It’s not that we’re mentally incompetent or uwu innocent babies that have been tricked. Please trust us to be the experts on what’s best for us, which for some of us includes transition.

We have a different experience of it than neurotypical folks. Lots of us feel like we have no gender, or feel very little connection to it, or feel ambivalent about it. I myself identify as female more out of convenience than a strong sense of womanhood.

1. It pisses me off to no end that right wing reactionary assholes have co-opted patriotism, as if they have a monopoly on civic pride.

This is what I've been thinking - Trump winning doesn't validate him, it delegitimizes the presidency.
