100%. Luckily, those are the people who make it obvious they are not serious developers or are just ignorant on the current state of AI. I just wish it was easy to ignore them but I always seem to get baited into arguments.

@danielkleach Hot take: Most software engineers are not self employed and do not compete with less technical people who are trying to build profitable business. 2 separate buckets. Most places with software dev teams are pushing AI development heavily already.

@nickshanks_ @peterrhague I interpret it as one shotting huge amounts of work with worrying about how it's implented. I usually don't look at the code until a PR but I still iterate on the problem and plan a lot so we are on the same page before having it start the work.

@atoi6664 we're basically in the middle of stepping up a level where we don't have to know. I wouldn't say we're there yet but we're getting close. Did you spend time to know the details of what your code got compiled into? Did you read the 1s and 0s at the end?

@svpino @johncrickett @AndrewYNg I'm a huge fan of ai and everything it offers but the skills are not hard if youre already a competent developer. They are trained on coding and you want it to write good code. It wants to write good code and explain everything it does. It's easy. That's the point.
