Seems like little talk is on the actual play on the field compared to VAR, and the referees inconsistency. That brings a big problem. When the game is supposed to be more consistent, but is taking longer with no more accuracy, why utilize VAR so much? @FIFAWorldCup

@JosinaAnderson It wasn't too harsh. The problem is, by this account (despite this being a way worse flop), there should have been at least 3 yellows on Argentina(2 on #3). So either we be consistent, or it is a non called foul. Can't be whenever the ref feels like it or VAR says so.

@stuholden As a Detroit Lions fan, I can say that you are asking a silly question. Certain teams having obscure fouls happen against them? When the green tilts for certain teams,mysterious things happen. Rules apply to all teams equally. Not sometimes. CONSISTENCY. That's all that's asked.

@FOXSports A) correct call. B) No consistency C) Crazy that as much as he was fouled without calls, he got booked for first yellow. At least 2 or 3 prior flops not called and rewarded. Call ALL the flops and punish it, or don't. You can't pick and choose.

@FOXSports Correct that it's a flop. Wrong that 0 flops have been called/carded prior. Don't reward some, but punish others. Consistency is key. Rather be super harsh, or super lenient, then random calls or reviews. Idea: Pay players less for poor play. Idea 2: Expect more, stop watching.

@CBSSportsGolazo #3 embellished 2 times to draw fouls within a 15 minute span. Nothing triggered there. Either you do it every time, or essentially never. Based on who is getting these calls, definitely a stain on the game. VAR has changed several games, controversially, not positively.
