This essay by Alejandro Bupara, a Cal Poly alumnus, analyzes the context of Mestizx peoples in the U.S. It argues for including Indigenous peoples, hood, queer, & transgender Mestizx Latinx people in order to heal from colonization and the settler system of cisheteropatriarchy.

Victoria Ford’s study analyzes the concept of “healthy masculinity” through qualitative interviews with men in peer support roles. The results revealed that the men invoked cultural idioms or phrases about their thoughts on both healthy and toxic masculinity. Linked in our bio.

We want to highlight a past article written by Jess Kung. The article breaks down Disney’s Mulan from the myth’s origin to how this Western interpretation can be used to explore the intersection between queer gender and Asian-American identity. The full text is linked in our bio!
