Tonight, I have a question for you. Could you please tell me what my Good Night Moon tweets have meant to you. I am here for the good, the bad and everything in between. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Good night Moon.
@bsw5020 You are such an inspiration for me, and all of us. You embody the best of the human spirit. Thank you.
@bsw5020 I have never in my life encountered a human with more courage and optimism than you …. That is what your GNM tweets mean to me every day I continue to see them 🙌🙌🙌🩵
Brian, one of my mentors in my profession was a man known as Jim Steel, though his legal name was Jim Lyle - and Jim also had ALS. When I see your Good Night Moon tweets, I’m often reminded subtly of Jim. Like you Brian, Jim kept going with his life, after ALS had been with him for some time. And as a radio Program Director, Jim had a long time habit of monitoring any of us who worked for him, and giving us praise & guidance. Didn’t matter if you had the afternoon drive shift, if you were doing weekends or nights, or even working on online content, the story was the same - out of the blue, you’d get a brief text or email, a little note, when you least expected it. Sometimes, it was when you needed it most. But it always let you know he was listening & he cared, just like many other listeners. Whether it was praise, motivation, constructive criticism, or a reminder, Jim was almost never harsh. His notes let you know the status of what he’d heard that time, and that tomorrow was another day to try again. Too few people get that kind of input, and Jim always gave that, to all of us lucky enough to work for him. Your Good Night messages are often an echo of that, and a solid reminder to me - whatever happened, tomorrow is another day to try again. Thank you for all of those. May every day be another day for each of us to keep trying again.
@bsw5020 For me, they’ve brought me hope. They show kindness - always. They remind me that love matters. Quite honestly, it’s is the only thing that does. And that determination and kicking ass - that saves others. Thank you. ❤️
@bsw5020 Taking each day (good, bad and in between) as the blessing it is…
@bsw5020 I look forward to them every evening. Your positive attiude serves to remind me to be positive.
@bsw5020 That love is so powerful that it can be a salve for overwhelming struggle and that you have perfected the ability to give, give, and give and, in return, receive alternative strength for the mind and soul.
@bsw5020 My father. Losing him to ALS has been the worst experience in my life. One day I will put my energy to the ALS community and helping those affected by it. For now I’m still in grieving stages.
@bsw5020 Before I go to bed I'm outside looking at the moon and stars. I also go out and watch to do the sunset. I love when others are interested in the same things.☮️❤️🌝
