The Rash Awards began in 2010 and are named in honor of Ron Rash, legendary North Carolina novelist, poet, & short story writer. Ron's work first appeared in the Broad River Review when he was an undergraduate English major at Gardner-Webb University. ronrashwriter.com
We are proud to announce the winners of the 2024 Rash Awards in Fiction & Poetry. Taylor Brown won the Rash Award in Fiction (judged by Joanna Pearson). Summer Hardinge won the Rash Award in Poetry (judged by Jaki Shelton Green). Congratulations to Taylor and Summer!
