Over the past 25+ years, I’ve responded to countless crashes as a result of someone driving under the influence. I’ve worked at crash scenes for hours as the scene was investigated and we had to remove dead bodies from the wreckage. #dontdrinkanddrive

4:30 p.m. update: the gas leak has been controlled. The gas company will be on-scene for an extended period of time to make repairs. Motorists can expect continued traffic delays in the area while repairs are made.
Brooklyn Boulevard is temporarily closed in both directions at Kentucky Ave N due to a major gas leak. Fire and emergency crews are on-scene; the gas company has been notified and is responding to the scene. Traffic is being redirected. Please avoid the area.
