Also, that 75 is not a random number... it's EX_TEMPFAIL in Unix and Linux systems, and indicates that the operation failed due to a short-term issue and should be tried again later! I love these nerdy things 😍
I've found pre-deploy hooks incredibly useful for checking whether it's actually a good time to deploy, instead of blindly restarting long-running backend jobs. Sure, jobs should always be idempotent. But that doesn't mean you always want to interrupt them if they're particularly expensive or time-consuming... Here i'm keeping all the "safe deploy window" business logic inside a Rails service object, then simply calling it from a Kamal pre-deploy check. Neat!

@yongfook I personally write every single welcome email to any prospect trialing my apps... No AI or automations on signup... But i agree, this is now a long-term game.
One small suggestion for @ShopifyDevs: don’t render a slider when all meters are flat-rate dollar amounts. There’s nothing meaningful to slide through, so it’s more confusing than useful 🙂 We could also use a description field for each meter. In @ZenDiscount, the first 30 days of the Omnibus meter are free, but right now there’s nowhere to make that clear to merchants!
Got a bit creative with pricing for the new 🇪🇺 EU price transparency feature in @ZenDiscount: I lowered every plan and made Omnibus an optional add-on. Every @Shopify merchant gets a fair base price, while those selling in the EU/EEA enable it only if they need it!

built an @OpenAI Codex skill that periodically pulls unhandled @getsentry issues from my projects, attempts a fix in a branch, opens a @github PR, and if I approve the review it merges, deploys, and resolves the Sentry issue automatically. if not, i leave comments and it iterates on the fix. all while I'm eating ice cream on my couch. folks, we are so cooked
