@DdelAlamo Hard to not be a pessimist about self-reported results, especially if the binding curves are not shown/reported. Even with open source work a lot of these affinities seem unreliable and we are seeing much different success rates for some networks than reported in their papers
@josiezayner To go niche is also viable, especially if you are integrating lab testing into the computational flow and pipelines. You can solve one very specific problem and do it well rather than try to build a “biological world model,” which requires much more compute and resources
@celinehalioua 100%. The world would literally need to end for me (or my future kids) to experience the same level of poverty. I guess the only question is how can we make sure our future progeny won’t feel acceleration induced FOMO and instead just focus on making a difference.

@CathyTie I think the parents living with these diseases are the most informed to make a decision about passing them down. Many families already ARE making these decisions, but we are limited to discarding precious embryos that still have potential to be a live birth.

We should give the average AI user the ability to run their own experiments, submit their own regulatory filings, etc, etc
IMO this is an appeal to heaven scenario. People should be given agency over their own health and treatments, choosing how much risk they are willing to take on.
