@XcCris Way to hang in there. It’s always the easy decision to drop out, and live another day. Finishing builds character. At Grandma’s in 1990, I started knowing I wasn’t 100% after a pulled muscle that had 4 weeks of healing finishing in 3:02 ish. I wanted to say I finished.

We have an overwhelming demand for flights right now. If you have airline miles, we need them. We are closing the flights program to military volunteers only and no first time applicants. This is the situation: 1. Due to rising fuel prices and because it's summer, it takes more miles to book a ticket now. Some donors no longer have enough. 2. We have had many applicants with serious family emergencies such as the sudden death of a spouse or child. They need to go home immediately even if the ticket is not the most budget friendly. 3. As you have seen in the news, it is now not uncommon for defenders to spend 2 or 3 months on position. Sometimes it's 5 or 6 months. Humans are not meant to do this. Once they get out many of them want to go home and in fact need to. You can help by donating airline miles and hotel points if you have them. If you don't, please tell people that this program exists and how they can help. You can also donate to the Flight Fund at protectavolunteer.com. This covers taxes and fees and sometimes buys cash tickets.
