I cannot recommend strongly enough to buy a cheap little (14-16ft) sailboat and learn to sail it. They’re like $500.

Don’t overthink it just point the boat in the direction you want to go and pull in the main sheet until you start moving. Pull it harder to go faster. If you start slowing down, ease it out. If you don’t move at all, you’re pointing too far into the wind and can’t go that way.

I'm curious why you would claim to know enough about what is ultimately a very, very niche part of the Catholic church to make a statement like this unless you have some sort of bias. No, the Byzantine rite is not "dressed up as orthdox" and the fact that you're saying this basically demonstrates that you don't know what you are talking about - this is also irrelevant to my point. There is nothing to renounce. The things that online ortho-converts obsess about are not problems that would prevent reunification, and our theology is completely compatible. The differences and the source of the schism are largely political and traditional.

I don’t know anything about the YC environment and have only heard good things about it. That said: “we’re all a family here (so make sure you don’t let the family down)” is a very common way employees can be manipulated, and heartbroken/burned out when then learn that it only goes one way. Everybody has to learn this lesson. The sooner the better.

@TheRealChadtech I think this is exactly why. The reason these things are acting “ohhh spooky just like sci fi!” Is because they were trained on sci fi. It’s also why I take all of these claims about what the agents are doing with skepticism. What were they told to do?
