Let me say, I was wrong about J.D. Forrest. Turns out all he needed was a roster of guys who absolutely play their asses off every night. I've been exceptionally hard on him the last few years, and I own it completely. I was wrong.

Payback (1999) was one movie that got me interested in the neo-noir film genre. When it comes to movies, to me the '90s reign king, and Gibson's performance & narration in this piece tied a bow on that classic era. It also doesn't miss with its comic relief, either.

I get to deadlift today. We’ve been running into problems w/ Paused DLs and I suspect core strength (or a lack of it) has been the culprit. To correct this, I’m postponing (not eliminating) Pauses, and substituting w/ Suitcase DLs to train unilateral & bilateral core strength.

I haven't attempted a 1 rep max on the bench in over a year. It was 265 then. Today, I was futzing around and decided to put 250 on the bar. That shit went up smoother than a fresh sheet of ice. There's no doubt in my mind 265 would move the same. And now 315 seems pretty close.
@bbonpucks I'm STILL on that boat. This 10-12 game run has dulled people's senses about this team. They wouldn't be in this situation without the previous 65-70 games of mediocrity. In fact the Guentzel trade and the response should be a teachable moment.
