Wonderful fundraising night for Bath Samaritans last Saturday. Special thanks to the wonderful Bath Strings Academy.
Just being there to listen and showing that you care can make a huge difference. Choose a quiet space, give your full attention, ask open questions, and listen without judgement.
Everyone copes differently, but some common signs include appearing tired, agitated, quiet, tearful, socially withdrawn, or using alcohol or drugs to cope. Some may show many of these signs, others just a few, or none. It's OK to gently mention any changes you’ve noticed.
We understand it can be challenging to know what to do when you’re worried someone may be feeling suicidal, so we’ve created an acronym to help you remember: What Should People Do? 🧵👇 #WSPD
Sometimes the hardest words to say are the most important. While 74% feel comfortable discussing mental health, only 45% would talk about suicidal thoughts. By having more open conversations, we give people the chance to express how they feel and get the support they need.
