New 'access to information act' for Alberta. It will need a full line by line review, but first glance - looks like a nightmare. Any request a public body doesn't like is going to get classed as taking unreasonable time and effort under the new section 7, and then dismissed (1/2)

I was consistently belittled by certain members of upper management. My work was called "dogshit" I was called "incompetent". When I would reach out to managers and try to get help with these situations, I would be told to "put on my big girl pants" and be "more assertive".

Since I wrote this two hours ago, the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Center added 100,000 hectares—almost a quarter million acres, almost 400 square miles—to its YTD total, which now sits at 5.1 million hectares (12 million acres, 20,000 square miles.) ciffc.net

Since yesterday, 200,000 hectares, or nearly half a million acres, have burned in Canada. That is, in one day, considerably more than burned in California all of last year.

@TheBreakdownAB For some very strange, totally unidentifiable reason, I’m reminded of an episode of Kitchen Nightmares where Ramsay takes an owner to task for hiding in the back washing dishes while there’s no one expediting, FoH is drowning, and service is completely falling apart.
