@JonBeves It’s literally a point and click method. Conductive coating helps but not necessary. You may already have this coating on the sample, and varies with instrument. Make sure you’re using at least 10 kV, but 15 kV better.

@LMPriVin_PhD @romunov I used to tell myself that I do it for the authors, not the journal. But if MDPI is what they choose then it is a conscious choice, and I won’t be a rubber stamp reviewer for the paper,

@LMPriVin_PhD Tells me that authors don't think that the journal is worth enough to actually check their work, and the journal doesn't care that the papers are any good. It's also a recurring issue with the journal, not the first time it happened.

@LMPriVin_PhD This is not "something small". This is complete disrespect for one's own work (as an author, and editor). Not the only issue with the paper. Several words misspelled in different ways in the same paragraph. Sentences that just end abruptly.

@LMPriVin_PhD Of course it's a template with instructions. I don't know about you, but when I submit a paper I proof-read it a hundred times to ensure that things like that don't happen. Also, I'd expect editors to at least skim the paper, which was obviously not done in this case.

@MosheFriedPhys @existsShachar לפעמים כתחביב אני הולך לקרוא מאמרים מהמאה ה-19 סתם בשביל הכיף. גם אז היו חילוקי דעות, וגם אז היו ביקורות נוקבות. זה לא משהו ייחודי להיום.
