I think people expect Druski’s skits to just be aimlessly funny, some of these skits aren’t meant to be “funny” but to make you think. Druski uses comedy to shed light on some real issues and if you feel like he “missed” when it gets dark, then sit with it and wonder why.

Druski’s CTE skit may be his best ever, and the backlash confirms that because people don’t understand that he’s not making fun of the player with CTE, he’s making fun of us. We’ve established a societal boundary that we can be entertained by NFL players on the field, and by their antics off the field as long as they aren’t overtly violent towards women. We fake care about CTE and other neurodegenerative diseases when we see CJ2K speaking via keyboard at 40 years old, but there would be rioting in the streets if football was banned. So do we really care, or do we prioritize our entertainment?
