@jonsneyers Thankfully browser devs are way more critical about bloat (I think). 😅 And sadly the monopoly scenario is almost here, we have only three engines left with gecko at less than 4% market share 😔 You can see that in the JXL discussion too, everyone only cares about Chromium 😕

@crypto_ftrx Du weißt ja nicht von welchem Pool der Block kommt wenn der Miner es nicht drannschreibt. Damit kannst du diese Blöcke nicht zensieren. Außer du wechselst vom trustless System auf ein anderes, das hat aber dann mit Cryptocurrency nichts mehr zu tun 😅

@crypto_ftrx Und wie entscheidest du jetzt zwischen dem Block mit TX1 und dem mit TX2 welcher davon der „bösartige“ ist? Beide sind valide und gültig. Am Ende gewinnt der, der in der längsten Chain enthalten ist, punkt.

@crypto_ftrx 51% zu haben ist kein Betrug, es gibt dir die Macht die Blöcke zu kontrollieren, ohne dass die Blöcke als fehlerhaft oder „bösartig“ (was auch immer das technisch heißen soll) von irgendwem erkannt werden könnten. Und einen Pool zu zensieren ist natürlich nicht möglich 🙈

@crypto_ftrx Ja, diese „Re-organisierung“ ist ja genau der Angriff. Alle Teilnehmer wechseln auf die längste Chain so wie es in den Regeln steht. Mit „re-organisieren“ ist hier nicht gemeint dass sich die Guten zusammensitzen und konferieren wie man sich in Zukunft neu organisiert oder so 😅

@crypto_ftrx „Rework the protocol around them“ wie soll das denn bitte gehen? Nochmal: die Blocks sind valide, nach allen Regeln, das ist kein Fork, die kannst du nicht aushebeln. Außer du hast 51% der computing power… Und es geht natürlich nicht um einen einzelnen double spend 😅🙈

@crypto_ftrx Das double spending wäre in diesem Fall nicht ungültig da es auf einem parallelen Zweig passiert. Der Block wäre nach allen Regeln gültig, er konkurriert nur mit einem anderen Block. Wie gesagt, „51% attack“ in Google eintippen, dazu gibt es sehr viele Erklärungen.

@crypto_ftrx Wenn 51% der Mining-Power entscheidet, nicht auf deinem Block anzuknüpfen sondern auf dem vorherigen, dann hast du Pech. Die längste Chain gewinnt. Google einfach „51% attack“ und „double spending”.
