POV: 30 quantum-curious students walk into your lab and actually see real cold atoms in action. What was meant to be a tour turned into a hangout. The questions kept getting better, and the engineers were having more fun than the students. One of our best afternoons in a while.

We spent last week at Quantum Australia Conference 2026 in Adelaide, sharing our quantum non-contact weighbridge, built with UQ's BEC Lab and Exotopic under the Critical Technologies Challenge Program. Conventional weighbridges give you one number. Ours gives you a 3D map.
