For non-Iranians: This satirical drawing is based on a real incident at Khosrow Alikordi’s memorial in December 2025, just weeks before Iran’s nationwide uprising and the massacre that followed. As mourners chanted “Javid Shah” (“Long Live the Shah”), Narges Mohammadi attempted to redirect the crowd toward different slogans. The effort failed, and she was loudly booed by many of those present. Why does this matter? Because outside Iran, many people are given a very different picture of the Iranian opposition. In her recent comic book, Marjane Satrapi portrayed Iranians as chanting “Viva Narges” at demonstrations. Yet this memorial—one of the last major public gatherings before the uprising—showed something entirely different. This illustration deliberately mimics the visual style of Persepolis comic book. It is a satirical response to what many Iranians see as a misleading portrayal of their movement, their slogans, and the political realities inside Iran.

För den som ej förstår varför det här är ett problem: den som deltar i ambassadens aktiviteter har förmodligen också anknytning till islamiska republiken. Mtp att det numera är allmänt känt att IR bedriver både spionageverksamhet och gängkriminalitet på svensk mark via ambassaden blir detta således högst problematiskt. Mtp att det numera är allmänt känt att IR bedriver både spionageverksamhet och gängkriminalitet på svensk mark via ambassaden blir detta således högst problematiskt.
