The Biggio disrespect is so weird. Biggio’s peak seasons were similar to Altuve’s. The man was not just an accumulator of stats. He was a better fielder and baserunner. Altuve is a better hitter and great player, but you don’t have to knock Biggio for that to be true.
But he had no one else (except Alou in ‘98 during his prime years). Ultimately I’d agree with you, but Biggio was a great player, and better than modern fans seem to remember.
@astroslightning I think if astros won the 2005 world series and or biggio and the group didnt choke we wouldn't be having this discourse. Altuve is a little monster in playoffs (at times) that it is easier to value him over biggio
@astroslightning I love Biggio. Dude was a legend. The disrespect to him comes from the fact that he didn’t do nearly as much in the postseason as Altuve. That’s why for me personally I put him above Biggio, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that Biggio was one of the best to do it.
