BREAKING: The Mississippi House just passed Medicaid expansion by a 96-20 vote. That's more than enough to overcome a veto from Gov. Tate Reeves. It now heads to the Senate. Background: mississippifreepress.org/40169/medicaid…
Final vote tally for Medicaid expansion in Mississippi is 98-20 after two Republican reps who did not vote at first cast their ballots. Again, this is well beyond the two-thirds majority necessary to override a veto.
@ashtonpittman After years of opposition, what do you think finally turned the tide? And why wasn't Tater thrown out of office first?
@ashtonpittman Ashton, what is the likelihood of the Senate passing it? Thanks.
@ashtonpittman @antifaoperative This is a big deal. Mississippi’s health care has ranked near the bottom. Providing access to affordable healthcare will make a big difference in the lives of thousands of women and children.
@ashtonpittman Man, this is MISSISSIPPI..YT PPL would rather let you have ur way with their children then give a BLACK MAN CREDIT...Mark my words, the Senate will block it..
