I think personal AI agents are being aimed at the wrong tasks. There are 1) journey tasks, where you actually enjoy the process and it releases endorphins, and 2) destination tasks, where you just want the outcome. Journey tasks are planning a vacation, shopping, and figuring out where to eat. Destination tasks are checking my flight every hour until I can change it for free or fighting the medical bill that should have been covered. The best personal agents will take on the stuff that’s annoying enough to waste your time, but important enough that you can’t ignore it. The killer feature might just be persistence.
