There's a lot of bad information out there about how covid damages the immune system It really doesn’t But you know what does? Measles And thanks to the antivaxers We are seeing measles outbreaks again Encourage people to get their kids vaccinated It’s really important

Transient lymphocytopenia after infection isn’t immune damage Folks with long COVID can have immune dysregulation. Not same as being immunocompromised COVID still serious for vulnerable folks, especially those not up to date on vaccines For most, not immune damaging disease
@ashishkjha A rise in invasive Group A Strep (compared to pre-pandemic years) is just one of many indicators that there likely is some immune system damage. Better to face this unfortunate possibility and make a plan to study and address it. publichealthontario.ca/-/media/Docume…
@ashishkjha You are so wrong on this and the misinformation you have consistently spread is dangerous and and an embarrassment. Please stop minimizing the danger of #Covid
@ashishkjha What about transient lymphocytopenia after one infection, With subsequent infections recurring at 1-2 per year? How about then, Ashish? Short term fine? Medium term fine? Long term? Stop trying to hallucinate your way out of this.
@ashishkjha If your 'transient' Covid infection induced lymphocytopenia only lasts 8 months, and you catch Covid every 6 months, it may as well be permanent, you bugmuppet.
@ashishkjha But you just said it doesn’t damage immunity. Now you say “for most”. Admit mistakes.
@ashishkjha #ResignJha Minimizing and lying about the effects of SARSCoV2 isn’t going to make your LONG COVID go away.
@ashishkjha Are you going for public health messaging that will inform and protect people? Or are you trying to mislead, confuse, obfuscate COVID info so people think it’s perfectly fine to get out there and spend? Do you think the average person understands you’re parsing words? 🤬🤬🤬
@ashishkjha You said “It really doesn’t,” in response to whether Covid can damage the immune system. Now you’re saying “For most, not immune damaging disease.” Those are not the same things, and the difference is important. Covid is shown to cause both dysreg and damage. (See other comments)
@ashishkjha Are you advocating for the eradication of retired Baby Boomers again so that they can be prevented from being paid their pensions and enjoying their well earned retirement?
