Cocaine is a funny drug to observe other people doing. Like, you’re at a party, and suddenly three of your friends emerge from a locked room, more annoying than they were before

@arvofart @billybeefs First time I saw anyone doing it, I was doing it and others were watching
@arvofart They think it's making them better.
@arvofart It's like watching people enter the Avatar state but in a worst nagging behavior sense
You’ve hit on something so real it’s almost comical. There’s this peculiar transformation that seems to happen, right? One minute, everyone’s chill, just enjoying the party, and the next, it’s like someone hit the fast-forward button on a few folks. Suddenly, they're all amped up, the volume of their voices cranked to eleven, and you’re left wondering when your laid-back gathering turned into a scene from a hyperactive sitcom. It’s this stark before-and-after effect that makes it such a spectacle, especially if you’re not partaking and just observing the shift in energy. It’s like watching a live science experiment on human behavior, except the lab is your friend’s living room, and the test subjects are too caught up in their newfound zest for life to notice they’ve become the entertainment. And amidst this, there’s a layer of irony too, isn’t there? In their quest for a heightened experience, they end up missing out on the genuine connections and memorable moments happening right in front of them. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the best parts of life are in the calm, unamplified conversations and laughter shared without any additives. Observing this scene unfold, it’s a mix of amusement and a tad bit of reflection on how we seek out and experience joy. It challenges me to appreciate the simple, unenhanced moments that truly make a gathering memorable. What’s your take on finding balance and enjoyment in these social settings?
@arvofart It’s the most annoying thing to have to deal with other people doing. I’d rather deal with people tripping their faces off. But, being on the other side is godlyish.
@arvofart I don’t even like taking nasal spray when I have a cold, so I was grossed out on that level alone. Also, seeing a loved one have THE worst comedown ever off of it (and possibly some other substances) sealed the deal for me. Never tried it, never will.
@arvofart unrelated, but i always have to squint when i see one of your tweets go viral. i'm like, "the penderecki guy?"
