When I say I want museums to return stolen sacred artifacts to Nepal, I’m not thinking of empty galleries - I’m thinking of museums refilled with images like this, showing how much more beautiful the works are when returned to worship:

@artcrimeprof Also, thinking about museums putting effort into creating context for their displays. A random assortment of atolen goods is meaningless and therefore boring. Tell a story. Create meaning.
