🇺🇬 Happy Heroes Day! Today, we celebrate the courage, resilience, and contributions of refugees with disabilities who continue to inspire change and strengthen communities. You are our heroes.
Reduced humanitarian funding is putting pressure on health systems, affecting continuity of care. For refugees with disabilities, reaching a health facility is often only part of the journey. Completing treatment can become another challenge. #DisabilityInclusion #RefugeeHealth
Even when refugees are qualified and talented, they often lack the opportunities to find a job in their sector. Refugee labour mobility means that they can get the chance to work in a new country. It can mean hope of a future for them and their families.

At the Parliament of Uganda, NUDIPU & ARD presented a position paper to MGLSD highlighting gaps in access to the Special Grant. National ID requirement excludes refugees with disabilities, contrary to the Refugees Act 2006 We call for alternative IDs to ensure inclusion.
