Ironically, most penguins don't know that today is World Penguin Day and think it's just a regular Saturday. The reason, of course, is that they refused to adopt the new Gregorian calendar in 1582, and still adhere to the old Julian one, for tax purposes.

I demand a law in India: Any politician whose children study abroad and hold foreign citizenship should be disqualified from contesting elections. Only those should contest whose children live in India and hold only Indian citizenship. Who agrees with me? Repost if you do.

“Govt will form a high-level committee and review the UGC rules.” This is what is being run on media channels right now. Their source is “Sootra.” There is no official word yet, so this should not be trusted until there is formal communication. Even if a review is announced, the UGC regulations must be taken back pending the review. In this country, reviews can take years. By then, people move on to different issues and the matter quietly dies. So a review alone is not enough. The regulations should be withdrawn until the review process is completed.

A third year UC girl at Shri Ram College of Commerce was proposed by a Dalit guy. She rejected him, after which he filed a UGC complaint against her, and she allegedly had to pay ₹50,000 to get the case withdrawn 😭😭😭
