how a video of a mom getting her son ready for school brought us over $120,000 enter my client: a hair care brand created by a famous barber we sell products made by men for men so naturally this is who we've always targeted on our ads but then, something happened… we noticed that one of our new top performing creator videos on TikTok shop was by a mom she wasn't using the product on herself, she was using it on her son so we decided to create a new customer avatar: Maria, the mom we wrote down her goals, values, interests, demographics, challenges and pain points all based on what we've seen from her videos then we made ten new video ads specifically written for her with TikTok already covered we launched them on Meta, the result? over 450 sales in the first 30 days (yay!) more importantly: we opened up our product to a whole new audience segment before this we would often exclude women from our targeting and while this won't make us rebrand to a women's haircare brand it made us realize there are whole segments of prospects still untapped by us we know there are dozens of brands that speak specifically to women about their needs yet, is any speaking to them about their sons' needs? well, we are!
