You might want to check the date. 17/01/24. She had her surgery on 16/01/24. I was diagnosed with cancer (uterine) in a similar way. I had routine abdominal surgery, there was zero suspicion, it wasn’t even a thought tbh. I had the surgery for endometriosis but a week later they told me they found cancer. Pathology from surgery doesn’t come back next day, even if you’re a princess, it’s at least a week to test the tissues & specimens. So when it was announced she had surgery, there was no reason to suspect cancer. hence why they said this the day after. Once she was diagnosed it’s also important to note Kate has only ever said ‘Cancer’, the only mention of ‘Pre-Cancer’ was Sky News who had to issue a correction. Not sure when Sky News became a valid source as they publish lies & hateful rhetoric against Meghan daily, they even had Dr Sophie go on air and smear Meghan. They’re gutter journalism. I think a lot of confusion comes from the term ‘preventative chemotherapy’ and ppl misunderstanding what it actually is, it’s not light chemo or for ‘pre-cancer’, it’s very serious. Its purpose is to stop cancer spreading via the blood or lymphatic system and to stop metastasis. If you don’t do this cancer will spread and quickly become a stage 4/terminal diagnosis. The ‘pre-cancer’ thing has become like the Mandela effect. No palace comms or Kate directly has ever said ‘pre-cancer’, it was literally only Sly News. It’s always been ‘Cancer’ Tbh I support both Meghan & Kate and I know Kate isn’t perfect, none of us are, but these cancer conspiracies are getting out of hand now. It’s like ppl want it to be a lie and they ignore facts. as a cancer survivor i see nothing abnormal 🤷🏻‍♀️

@NiTuairisc what are you even on about? I’m so confused. bc I follow that acc? Um yeah bc I love keeping up with the Danes (I’m a fan of Queen Mary) & the situation happening in Norway. You do know there’s royal families around the world?. I’m also not afraid of following others with opposing views as I’m capable of using critical thinking & media literacy. I follow ppl of all different opinions so I’m not stuck in an echo chamber. There’s many of us who support both Meghan & Kate and want them both to keep thriving and achieving great things.

Seems like some of us never left high school. And ‘people’ don’t call her this, the only people who do are cruel & hateful bullies within the Sussex fandom. Which is really embarrassing because I’m also a fellow fan of Meghan and I find it really bizarre that people claim to be a Meghan fan yet take pleasure in tearing other women down, you know the very thing she advocates against? You’re wrong. Both women are beautiful, intelligent, and inspiring role-models. And don’t even bother with that argument of “well the royalists bully Meghan”, so the solution is unleashing hate onto other women?

It isn’t psychological, with peace and love that’s a little offensive. I know you probably didn’t mean for it to come across that way. My drs have said it’s a combination of post-treatment after effects, nerve damage & debilitating pain from abdominal adhesions. I had two really huge abdominal surgeries within a week. The first was five hours, the second however was 7-8 hours but unfortunately experienced complications & they had to do an emergency hysterectomy. As a result my abdominal area is covered in adhesions/scar tissue & extensive nerve damage. The way they explained it to me is that the pain makes the body work in overdrive and that results in fatigue. They have told me it’s very likely going to be lifelong. The treatment after effects should ease over time but the nerve damage & adhesions will be permanent. The fatigue is nothing like I’ve ever experienced, it’s a really deep state of exhaustion. Whenever I heard about fatigue I never understood it and just assumed it was just needing to nap (I very ignorant, I know 🤦🏻‍♀️) but nope it’s definitely not that 🫠

You’re 100% correct. Adjunctive chemo (or Preventative chemo) is really, really important. I don’t think people get how easy it is for cancer to spread via your blood & lymphatic systems, scans, even complex & in-depth imaging, can’t 100% guarantee cancer hasn’t started the metastasis process. Something ‘early stage’ can evolve into stage 4 & terminal without it. People see the word ‘preventative’ and just assume it’s benign or ‘pre-cancer’. What gets me is how these bullies will never admit they’re categorically wrong, the truth doesn’t align with their pre-conceived narrative. If they don’t like Kate, absolutely fine, but they should just be honest and say that instead of putting their tin foil hats on spreading medical disinformation. They’re only harming cancer patients by doing this.

I’m glad to hear your husband is well now ❤️, Bowel cancer is a beast. And thank you for the kind words too. Absolutely!! I went though it as a caregiver for my mum (breast cancer) when I was 19-20 yo and then a decade later, around 18 months ago, it was my turn and she became my caregiver…whether it’s happening in your body or it’s happening to someone you love, its bloody hard. I will never understand how anyone could be so cruel about how someone is healing from cancer, regardless if Catherine is a princess, she’s still a human being.

I even went to Bali in between treatments with full approval of my drs. My onc joked if he could come along and I even stayed at a resort he recommended. It’s truly insane this idea we’re not allowed to do things we enjoy when healing from cancer. Are we supposed to be locked up inside like prisoners and think about dying all day. Hell I wanted nothing more than to curl up and lay in my bed but my drs told my family to drag me out the house—go to the park, the beach, the football, all the things that bring me joy. God forbid you want to make memories during a really hard time & do things that bring you joy….🫥

I went on disability at the start of my cancer journey and I’m still on it as I slowly transition back to part time & freelance work so I’m being funded by tax payers, according to the logic of bullies should people like me make pamphlets with all our medical info on them just so the neighbours know what they’re paying for… Ultimately if people want to not like Kate, just say it that’s completely fine, it’s the fake outrage that gets me….they really don’t understand that their behaviour is actually harming cancer patients. It’s never okay to police how cancer patients heal, look like, how they feel or their experience—each journey is so unique, there is no formula when it comes to cancer.

I had routine abdominal surgery as I have severe endometriosis. there wasn’t any suspicion of cancer before the surgery (and I have so many checks bc of my chronic issues) but a week after the surgery while I was in hospital I was told they found uterus cancer. it was all a huge shock & unexpected—my drs even ran my tests twice bc they were shocked by the findings. I really don’t understand why we don’t all just use ‘Adjunctive’, unless it’s a British thing to call it ‘Preventative’, it’s weird. That’s what fuels a lot of the weird conspiracies (plus ppl are just horrible bullies period) as they think preventative chemo = benign or pre-cancer. But it’s actually so serious, if cancer is lurking in the blood or lymphatic system it can become deadly. People always say “but why do you care, she’s a princess” but it’s more than that, it’s the principle. When they say “she’s so lazy bc she stopped working during her cancer” but that’s just shaming many of us who do need to stop work. I just think it’s so wrong. I really hate when people want to police how us cancer patients should heal.

Well she only ever said Cancer, so that’s exactly what it was. Same thing happens to me, scheduled abdominal surgery for something non cancerous (in my case endometriosis) and then a week after the surgery after all the pathology was tested they said they found cancer. Preventative chemotherapy (also known as adjunctive chemo) isn’t for benign conditions, many of us cancer patients so cancer doesn’t spread in the blood stream or lymphatic system and result in metastasis & ultimately death. Charles has never revealed his cancer type yet everyone comes after Kate. Queen also never revealed she had cancer and it only came out after her death.

She clearly said that she had surgery for something non-cancerous, but it wasn’t until afterwards they found cancer, again literally what happened to me

When Meghan bravely shared she endured Preeclampsia after birth, do you think it was cruel that the hateful royalists were calling her a liar or questioning her pregnancies and all sorts of horrible nonsense? Let me guess, Yes? Because it was absolutely cruel for anyone to accuse her of lying about her health, it was completely unacceptable. We’re not owed people’s reports or their clinical history. Not sure why we’re always demanding this from women and demand they prove themselves but never men.

Uh-huh because it wasn’t like freaks on the internet were spreading conspiracies on the internet that she was dead (killed by her husband mind you) or that her husband was having an affair? Or whatever weird fantasy ppl were spreading. She was forced to reveal it bc ppl would not stop with the ‘where’s Kate’ nonsense. I fully believe if she wasn’t pushed to reveal the truth that she had cancer she would’ve just kept it quiet like she was doing.

There’s a big different between curiosity & people being cruel, many are in that last category sadly especially on this hell hole of an app. The truth is Charles has never revealed his cancer type. The late Queen never revealed she had bone cancer and it only came out after her death. It seems like for some reason Kate is held to a completely different standard…a lot of it is bc ppl just don’t like her. Which is fine, people should just be honest instead of spreading misinformation & tinfoil conspiracies. Working royals don’t reveal cancer types because it invites speculation about prognosis or recurrence rates. Just look at how the world freaked out when Harry spoke to the BBC and said he didn’t know how long his dad had left.

But Charles has never revealed his cancer type, nor did the late Queen (revealed only after her death) yet there is an obsession with Kate? It’s pretty obvious that it’s more because you don’t like her & hold her to a completely different standard and set of rules vs if revealing her cancer type would somehow help others. Like just be honest love. Like if you don’t like her completely fine, but there’s no need for pretend outrage.

We need to stop policing how people heal from cancer. Everyone’s journey and experience is so different. There are hundreds if not thousands of different types of treatments. For example my mum is also a cancer survivor like myself and her and I had completely different experiences. She did things I couldn’t and I did certain things she couldn’t, it doesn’t make one of us wrong. I’m really sorry your husband experienced difficulties but his journey isn’t anyone else’s, it’s his & yours. Each persons experience with cancer is valid, people need to stop being so cruel & judgemental.

It’s commonly called adjunctive chemo (as people like yourself see ‘preventative’ and misinterpret the meaning) is a form of chemo many of us cancer patients have to eliminate cancer lurking in the blood stream or lymphatic system. Not doing this puts you at a high risk for metastasis—which ultimately leads to death.

Idk it just will always baffle me that Kate & Meghan are expected to be 24/7 perfection & their mere existence triggers so much ch hate from opposing sides, whether it’s the vile royalists or bullies on the Sussex side. These women receive more hate than their husbands. And it might be dumb for a pleb like me to care, but when i see the ‘Kate is lazy’ narrative it upsets me bc women should’ve be shamed that they’re not doing enough. When ppl want to hate on Meghan, that gets me going bc no one should even pick apart a woman with so much hatred like she experiences. she cops the lazy narrative constantly too. neither woman is ‘lazy’. I just don’t get it and I don’t think I ever will. Kate or Meghan will never win, even if they were 100% perfect.
