Israel has officially launched a war on paramedics in Lebanon. Earlier today, it killed 7 paramedics affiliated with the Islamic Group and this evening, it targeted several more linked to Hizbullah and the AMAL movement. This is both a sign of desperation and serious escalation. Despite Hizbullah's barrage of retaliatory strikes on Kiryat Shmona earlier today which resulted in a number of casualties, Israel appears to be attempting to provoke Hizbullah even further with the aim of using that as a pretext to draw the US into a wider war.
@amalsaad_lb Everyone is well aware Hamas, Hizbullah etc use ambulances move around this is what happens when you don’t respect international norms if we didn’t know that we might be upset.
@amalsaad_lb Either it's "official" or it "appears to be attempting". Which one is it?
@amalsaad_lb Launched a war? Were you unaware that Lebanon has been launching rockets at Israel over the last 6 months?
@amalsaad_lb Hezbollah has been routinely sending rockets into Israel since Oct. 7. If Israel wasn't busy with Hamas, this would alrady be causus belli. If Lebanon doesn't want war, it better figure out how to restrain Hezbollah before Israel turns its attention north.
@amalsaad_lb .@cardiffuni your lecturer spreads blood libels on social media.
@amalsaad_lb Officially? Can you show an official statement from Israel to that effect? Do you even know what the word official means?
@amalsaad_lb Don’t start wars . Hizballah started a war Oct 8. This had nothing to do with them. Don’t start wars then cry about what happens next.
@amalsaad_lb Israel killed 7 Islamic terrorists dressed as paramedics. There, fixed it for you.
