An EFL Spokesperson said: “Following the abandonment of this afternoon’s Sky Bet Championship fixture between Rotherham United and Cardiff City, the circumstances surrounding this will now be considered in-line with EFL Regulations.”
@EFL_Comms Restart the game at 48 minutes with the score: same line ups: no supporters in the ground. Bit embarrassing a newish ground was unable to cope with 10 minute deluge at this level
@alm_vince @EFL_Comms Don't think many pitches that are level would cope with water like that
@alm_vince @EFL_Comms If they don’t have the required facilities Vince they shouldn’t be allowed to compete at that level!
@alm_vince @EFL_Comms Fully agree. In the rest of Europe and in the CL, they just resume it at the point it was abandoned. I’ve never understood why they have to go back to 0-0.
@alm_vince @EFL_Comms Have you seen the footage of the groundskeeper pushing the water off the pitch then dragging it back on, makes it seem Rotherham wanted the postponement
@alm_vince @EFL_Comms How can you guarantee the same lineup? Players get injured in training etc Just give us the 1-0 win if they can't be arsed to try to play the full 90 first time around
@alm_vince @ThreeBluebirds_ @EFL_Comms We want Answers Vince, we deserve Answers but hey ho who are we to ask for Answers.
@alm_vince @EFL_Comms And what if the same players aren’t available due to injury…..difficult situation but the EFL must do the right thing with the “evidence” shown
