So @YouTubeCreators @YouTube What do I do if someone is black mailing me and extorting me for 150 euros? 3 seconds of my video that is 25 minutes has footage they claimed. They issued a strike against my channel and I reached out via email. Their response was to say they will remove the strike if I pay them via paypal. This breaks your TOS and is extreme copyright abuse. Help is appreciated.
@aliciaxlifeVT sorry to hear this! have you submitted a counter-notification yet? more info on that here: goo.gle/43uqm2o once the counter-notification is processed, the copyright team will investigate this potential abuse & take necessary actions once proven. appreciate your patience
@aliciaxlifeVT @YouTubeCreators @YouTube i say fight this and if youtube fails i say next safe is legal action as extortion/blackmail is illegal in all forms.
@aliciaxlifeVT @YouTubeCreators @YouTube To YouTube: has there been any updates to this current situation?
@aliciaxlifeVT @YouTubeCreators @YouTube Comic Sans scammers. ffs
@aliciaxlifeVT @YouTubeCreators @YouTube pretty sure blackmail is illegal no matter where you live, not even mentioning the TOS. you need to take action immediately and throw the whole dictionary at them because if one person is doing it, you know tons of others are too. I urge you to take quick and decisive action.
@aliciaxlifeVT @YouTubeCreators @YouTube @YouTube @YouTubeCreators @TeamYouTube I'm tired of YouTube support being nonexistent to the point of having to turn to twitter for a chance of getting any YouTube staff to notice.
@aliciaxlifeVT @YouTubeCreators @YouTube For anyone that doesn't know €150 is CA$220.56 That is a lot of money so I say fight it

@aliciaxlifeVT @YouTubeCreators @YouTube @YouTube @TeamYouTube @YouTubeCreators Y'all gotta get on this. They are literally trying to blackmail Alicia. If you weren't aware, blackmailing (which is a federal offense) can land you up to 1 year in prison and up to $100,000 in legal fees. Extortion lands you 15-20 years.
