Since the Cannon recusal chorus is growing again, please read @alegalnerd on the actual 11th Circuit standards below. Should she be off the case bc of her obvious bias? Yes. Does current case law necessitate that? Unfortunately no. It's not clickbait, but it's the reality.

@secretsandlaws @alegalnerd Plus beyond @alegalnerd’s in depth response, there is this article from lawfare as well on this, bottom line the DOJ is going to have judge Cannon to deal with absent an extrajudicial circumstance which will very likely not happen: lawfaremedia.org/article/what-d…
@Ryry356 @secretsandlaws @alegalnerd So, nothing can be done against a obviously corrupt & incompetent judge? that's insane
@harlengeplessy @Ryry356 @secretsandlaws No, if Smith can obtain a reversal of one of Cannon's orders from the 11th Circuit, reassignment to another judge on remand is possible.
@alegalnerd @harlengeplessy @secretsandlaws That’s ideal, a case in the circuit in point and with careful briefing, a great chance to get the case reassigned
