Great news that the Isle of Man government is taking positive steps to reduce our carbon footprint. No problem with phasing out certain types of home heating. If only we could find a way of trapping all the hot air emanating from Tynwald we’d be sorted.

@garethcole I had a couple of TIAs in 2004 which was a worry but recovered within a few months. 50 years of smoking can’t have helped but I had my last cigarette (ever) over 10 months ago so that should slow up, though not cure, the emphysema. Glad you are both well. [email protected]

@garethcole Bren is now riddled with arthritis and in constant pain. I have emphysema so have trouble walking very far. We get by and manage the odd cruise or two. You still working or retired? It’s amazing to think that I retired from SWP 19 years ago!

@MattySr2 Good on you Matty. I’m an alcoholic too. Dry for 26 months. It won’t be easy but well worth it. Don’t panic if you have a slight hiccup on your travels. Don’t beat yourself up as a lot of us have had them. Face it and get back on track. Have a great journey my friend. Alan
